Autumn Leaf Insect 'Jean Grey' Original Illustration - Colour

This is a Phyllium Tobeloense leaf insect.
Her name is Lady Jean Grey, and she is the jewel of my insect collection. This is the first time she has been available for sale.
She is lovingly painted in exquisite detail, using only the most vibrant inks and watercolours.
She is captured here in an almost balletic pose.
This species are known as Autumn Leaf insects as they go a wonderful bright orange colour. They are camouflaged to look exactly like leaves, even down to the veins in their wings.
This is a one off original piece and is completely hand painted.
It is recommended to protect original artwork with a UV resistant glass or perspex.
