Handmade Oxford 2019
•The last Handmade event I was involved in was held at Kew Gardens.
Unfortunately they are not returning there this year. However I have signed up for the Handmade Oxford show held at the exquisite Waterperry Gardens.
27-30 June 2019

.
I haven’t been before and am really looking forward to taking some time to check out the bountiful botanicals on display!
I will have a few new treasures not yet available online. If you have been waiting to see my Rainforest collection you will be in luck.
I also usually have a few unique items such as original paintings.
I will be there to hawk my wares but inevitably the eye wanders to ones fellow exhibitors.
The Handmade events are strictly curated and the standards are high. It’s always a huge compliment to be accepted. It also means any profit I make is in danger of being spent at the show!
This year I’m going to make a beeline for the following stands.
Amanda Coleman’s jewellery is sublime. I adore the way her work seems to tell a story. I can see that she has a wicked sense of humour and her pieces are totally charming.
.
.
These snake earrings are definitely on my wish list.
Next up is David Patrick Brown, feather carver.
These handsome birds are all carved from wood.
.
.
The swallow has stolen my heart but the Firecrest and Kingfishers are also superb.
If you are looking for something truly artisan and handmade, this is the stall you want to head to first.
I also want to check out David Hayward and his beautiful pens. He uses various materials such as silver, brass and oh, bits of old spitfire propellers. Like you do.
.
.
As an artist I’m a bit of a sucker for a beautiful pen so I’ll be found drooling over these I expect.
There are over 200 unique stands this year. As I’ll be working I doubt I’ll get more than a hungry glance at most of them, but you could easily spend a relaxed day browsing the whole show and take in the fantastic gardens too.
Do come and day hello if you come to the show. My stand is F20 Marquee A.
Alphabetically I’m quite easy to find near the end of the show guide!
